Load several audio files into Audio Switch and it will batch convert them from one format to another. The application can convert the audio files you select to WAV, MP3, AAC, MP4, M4A, or WMA. On top of that, Audio Switch can play audio files, extract audio from video files, and normalize audio files.

The Audio Switch installer is 8.2Mb in size. Download the installer, run it, and you will be presented with a setup wizard. Click through the wizard’s instructions and mere moments later you will be done with the installation process. There’s nothing complicated about getting Audio Switch up and running, and that is quite nice.

The main panel of the interface lists all the audio or video files you loaded. Above this panel there’s a toolbar with buttons that you can use to add files, add folders, remove files, play files, access the Options menu, and more. Below the main panel there’s a dropdown that allows you to choose the output format, a dropdown that allows you to choose where to save the converted files, and a large button for launching the conversion process.

Using Audio Switch is a very simple 3-step process:
Step 1: load the audio or video files you want. You can do so by using the Add File(s) or the Add Folder button. There’s a feature that deserves mentioning here: when you add an audio or video file, that file will be played within the Select Source File prompt. This means you can listen to a track before loading it into the application. Of course, you can also play tracks after they are loaded into the application.
Step 2: set up the conversion parameters. You can pick one of several output formats, choose where the converted files will be stored, and normalize files.
Step 3 – click a button to launch the conversion process and let Audio Switch do its job.

Audio Switch is not free, it is only free to try. A prompt will show up every time you run the application, it will remind you that you’re using a trial version, and will tell you for how long you can continue to use the application for free.

Play audio and video files, batch convert audio files from one format to another, nomarlize audio tracks, and extract audio from video files. You can easily do all these with Audio Switch.

Pros

Installing Audio Switch is an effortless task. A couple of minutes will be more than enough time to figure out the interface. You can use Audio Switch to convert audio and video files. You can play audio and video files before loading them into the application; you can also play audio and video files after they are loaded into Audio Switch. You can also normalize audio tracks.

Cons

Nag screens.
